Hero of the Century

On this Purple Spirit Day I, Salim Al-Mumin, find it appropriate to recognize and salute perhaps the greatest hero this world has seen so far this century. Bradley Manning is the man who leaked information about the despicable crimes the US government was committing during the so-called "War On Terror" in Iraq and Afghanistan; as well as the atrocities being committed at Guantanamo Bay. Bradley (Chelsea) Manning is a whistleblower who has been wrongfully convicted under the abysmal Espionage Act and sentenced to an egregious sentence of 35 years in prison which is utterly unjustifiable and non-equivalent to his alleged "crime"!

No matter what your personal beliefs or biases maybe, understand that there is no authority or virtue higher than the truth, and I can think of no greater form of heroism than for someone to sacrifice everything to tell the truth about atrocities and horrors being committed under the nose of the people by their corrupt government. Gandhi once said, "There is no God higher than Truth" and if Truth is higher than even god you can bet your ass its higher than any government or bullshit laws created by the same. Bradley (Chelsea) Manning is a hero and an agent of truth, and I raise my voice along with hundreds around the globe to demand his release. When those who speak the truth are demonized and persecuted by villains who have infested the highest branches of government know that you are governed by criminals and the time for protest and revolt is at hand. EXPOSING WAR CRIMES IS NOT A CRIME!!! FREE BRADLEY MANNING!!!

I also want to take this moment to say that if you don't think Bradley Manning is a hero for whatever reason you may have, don't even bother commenting 'cause I don't really care...keep it to yourself, and if you're one of those brain-dead soulless fuckin' sheep who think Manning's a traitor, you can shut the fuck up and go floss your ass with barbed wire and then go down a gallon of drain cleaner with a side of rat poison.
