Misanthropy vs Anarchy by IAmTheUnison Misanthropy vs Anarchy by IAmTheUnison
It occurs to me that at times I am not the best model of an Anarchist, as I do identify my political views as being favorable to the principals of Anarchism, and as such I thought I'd make this little piece to help clarify the difference between my personal disposition and the actual ideals of Anarchy.

First thing to understand is that Anarchy is not a society without rules nor is it chaos, such attitudes are the byproduct of generations of misinformation and blatant ignorance. Anarchy literally means, "without rulers". Anarchism advocates the existence of a society without ruling bodies and figure heads; which means no kings, emperors, dictators, or presidents, and frankly in this day in age with the growing advancements in technology that we presently have they are an antiquated governing system anyway. The only real reason we needed a Congress and a president when this country was first formed was that it was not possible to get every member of our society together to discuss important issues and vote, so we elected representatives to represent our respective towns, cities, counties, and states, but now that we have this marvelous thing called the internet which is able to connect people all around the world there really isn't too great a need for fraudulent representatives who do more to represent their wallets and ignore the will of the people who elected them. Another important principal of Anarchy is Voluntarism, which is the idea that people willfully choose to participate and help out in society as opposed to be told to by some corrupt ruling class. Foolish Statists often question who will build and maintain the roads, run the schools, fund the hospitals, and defend our borders in the absence of a central government, and the answer Anarchy offers is those who willfully choose to do so by the virtue of their own free will.

The simple fact of the matter is that true Anarchy promotes peaceful cooperation and non-violent solutions to social problems. However, even though I agree and favor the ideals of Anarchy, I am a misanthrope before I am an anarchist. Misanthropy is the general hatred, distrust, or disdain of the human species and human nature. I am an advocate of liberty, free will, and voluntary cooperation and that is why I am an anarchist, but I also hate and distrust all humanity as a general rule and this makes me a misanthrope. I look throughout the world and all I see is evil people doing evil things and crushing the will and dreams of others while gullible mindless sheep look on and do nothing to stop the affronts to liberty and justice they see happening all around them, choosing instead to shove their empty heads up their butts and pretend there's nothing wrong. I look throughout history and grimace at all the injustices which have occurred and that continue to be repeated by a so-called "more advanced generation" which blindly ignores the past dooming itself to suffer the same mistakes of the throngs of fools who came before them. To borrow a line from "Le Misanthrope" (1666), "My hate is general, I detest all men. Some because they are wicked and do evil, others because they tolerate the wicked, refusing them the active vigorous scorn which vice should stimulate in virtuous minds." I am a misanthrope. I hated humanity with a fiery passion...and that hatred is well earned for mankind is a pathetic pitiful species which has been nothing but a plague and an affront to nature ever since its damned creation, and if there is a "God" which is truly responsible for man's existence then damn him too for plaguing the world with this vile virus called Humanity!

I am an anarchist, but I am misanthrope before I am an anarchist I will fight for liberty and free will, but I will curse mankind to its face the whole time damning it for being such an abysmal excuse for a lifeform and berating it for its infinite stupidity.

Bit like the Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw who supported anarchism and socialism, he called himself an unsocial socialist, you could say the same about George Orwell.(Podonach!)

We did have examples of practical anarchy in Ireland during our revolution, people in Limerick city overthrew the city govt. and organised things directly amongst themselves without politicians, also many of the aristocrats who owned factories & other businesses fled the country, during this many workers organised themselves as co-operatives where they managed everything by themselves without layers of management dictating to them, there were as many as 300 of these co-operative commonwealths.   If you could live in a anarch society would this be your aspiration

"I am an anarchist, but I am misanthrope before I am an anarchist " while I appreciate your honesty, this makes it hard for others to like you or listen to you.

The hardest pills to swallow often are the best medicine to heal you and preserve your health.

Frankly, it is because I am so painfully honesty that I care not whether people listen to me, and I especially don't care if people like me. After all the years that I have spent being alienated by a society of people too fuckin' stupid look beyond appearances and social labels, it is ludicrous to think I would have even the slightest shred of respect for humanity or even remotely care whether or not people hate me for what I have to say. While it is true that I do hope to educate the ignorant and drill sense into the stupid, the fact of the matter is that I do try to make my preachings of truth as painful as possible as vengeance for the wicked manner that I have been treated by this wicked world and its wicked people. While I may hope for a better world governed by liberty, free will, and peaceful cooperation it does not change the fact that I am very tired, very bitter, and VERY ANGRY. So again I state that I shall always fight tooth and claw for liberty and free will, but I will also make it my quest to beat the shit out of the ego of Mankind every chance I get, for it is the ego of man which is the cause of all this world's suffer and it is the ego of man which has robbed me of my happiness and shattered my dreams time and time again. I am both an Angel of Liberty and Truth and a Demon of Fury and Vengeance.

I hope you don't mind me asking this, but how did society rob you of your happiness? Why were you alienated by society? Specifically what caused you to feel like this?

That is a very long story, but if I were to sum it up and give you the condense version. I was abused as a child and have never been able to maintain any long-term close friendships. I have long been alienated because I was weird and different, and as a result I have spent most of my days alone in isolation, and of course nothing freezes one's heart like years of being alone. So now I'm filled with hate and anger and extremely bitter.

Yyyyyyyeeeeeah, I always thought that was a little odd of you, since I was always under the impression that Anarchy was all about "people are good deep down and totally capable of ruling themselves and don't need anyone to tell them what's what"

I am a bit of a living paradox it is true, but its sort of what comes from being a bi-polar schizophrenic with multiple personalities. One side of me wants liberty and justice for all, while the other side wants to burn half the population in a massive bonfire.

Oh, well I just wish to take over and oppress people and make them do what I want in an unholy scary ass autocracy.....for the twenty minutes it will take for the duties and stuff to inevitably tire me out and crash and burn it all. :P

I'm not very good on whats practical.
