So Different, Yet So Similar

Yin and Yang are often looked upon as polar opposites which are violently opposed to one another, but that is just one way in which Yin and Yang can manifest. Another way to see Yin and Yang are as twins or partners which are vastly different from one another yet at the same time so unbelievably similar.

The harmony of Yin and Yang is an ideal balance which may exist between two mortal enemies, two very close friends, two siblings or relatives of any relation, or even two inseparable lovers. Yin and Yang are not always extreme opposites, but sometimes two twin flames which share so much in common in spite of all their differences. It is believed by some that no one can ever truly be in balance unless they can find and become in sync with their metaphysical counterpart, for only Yin truly understands Yang, and only Yang truly understands Yin, and together their combined understanding of themselves helps them to better perceive the world around them, and thus through their union a higher state of enlightenment can be achieved.
